TERMS AND CONDITION

The Terms and Conditions detailed below apply to all entrants participating in The Alpha Challenge 2023. Completion of an entry form or purchase of an entry by every participant acknowledges acceptance of these Terms and Conditions by the participant.


  1. By entering the event, the participant automatically accepts our terms and conditions.

  2. The Alpha Challenge 2023 Organising Committee has the right to suspend, or close registrations without prior notice.

  3. Registration for The Alpha Challenge 2023 is available through online registration platform only or by any alternative ways indicated by the Organising Committee.

  4. All information must be true. False identity may cause disqualification or be forbidden to join the race.

  5. Pregnant women would not be allowed to participate, regardless of the stage.

  6. All participants can only submit their application once in each category depending on the participant’s capability.

  7. Participants who paid through e-payment will receive a receipt with a QR Code; the QR Code will then be used to redeem race kits and registration during race day.

  8. The Organising Committee will notify and arrange a payment method for you in case there is a failure of payment.

  9. Participants are responsible to contact us for any changes or updates on their registration details.

  10. All applicants are to consent 100% to the category that they have already decided and chosen themselves as the most suitable for them as individuals. Participants are recommended to seek advice from their medical practitioner prior to taking part in this event, and make provisions to ensure their safe participation.

  11. The 10K Sentinel Challenge is open to ages above 12 years old, but with parental guidance for ages 12-17 years old.

  12. The legal guardian must sign the event registration form or purchase a ticket on behalf of the underage participant. Signing or purchasing a ticket is also an acceptance for the actions and consequences of the underaged runner. Knowing this, guardians of underaged participants voluntarily assume all of the risks of participating in the event and take full responsibility for any and all damages, liabilities, losses or expenses incurred as a result of their participation.

  13. Group Bookings: The lead Party agrees that by completing the Online Registration Form and submitting an order that:

  • They have read these Terms and Conditions and have the authority to be bound by them on his/her own behalf and on behalf of all the individuals named in the Group Booking.

  • They consent to our use of the information they provide in accordance with our Terms & Conditions.

  1. By completing the Online Registration or Offline Registration, the Lead Party warrants that they have the authority to accept and be bound by the T&C on their own behalf and on behalf of the Group. The Lead Party shall indemnify and keep us indemnified against all and any liability, losses, claims which we may suffer or incur as a result of a breach of this warranty.

  2. Registering for an event indicates your consent for The Alpha Challenge 2023 to contact you with pre-event information and about relevant products or services and research via email, post, phone & SMS.

  3. Participating in The Alpha Challenge 2023 is a hazardous activity. Each participant acknowledges that there is an inherent risk of physical injury that cannot be eliminated completely, including but not limited to an above-average risk of death and/or serious injury. Knowing this, each participant voluntarily assumes all of the risks of participating in the event and takes full responsibility for any and all damages, liabilities, losses, or expenses incurred as a result of their participation.

  4. Participants agree that their personal data are given to third parties for reasons related to timing, ranking and announcement on the internet. Personal data of participants required during the registration procedure are stored and will be used for purposes only related to the staging of the event. By submitting an entry form, each participant consents to the storing of his/her personal data and its use for the purposes of the event.

  5. The Alpha Challenge 2023 Organising Committee reserves the right to cancel any event, due to extreme weather conditions. No refunds will be issued.

  6. The Alpha Challenge 2023 Organising Committee reserved the right to update its terms and conditions at any time prior to the event. An up-to-date copy of the T&C will be displayed at the event for participants to view. Participants should read this prior to taking part in the event.

  7. The Alpha Challenge 2023 may immediately dismiss anyone who disobeys any rules, directions, instructions, decisions, laws or whose behaviour endangers safety or negatively affects a person, facility, or property of any type or kind. 

  8. The participant is fully responsible for their actions whilst attending the event. This includes the event centre and during the event itself. The Alpha Challenge 2023 does not accept responsibility for the actions of the participant nor its consequences.

  9. Any marked route is not shown for guidance only and The Alpha Challenge 2023 insists that you must use the route shown. If a participant chooses a different route to avoid obstacles or sections they decide are beyond their capabilities, they do so entirely at their own risk.

  10. The Alpha Challenge 2023 will be held at the location announced via their website and Instagram page. Aside from the marked route, the Alpha Challenge 2023 organisers will not be held responsible for participants who choose to go off route or the open sea that is not marked in the route. They do so entirely at their own risk.

  11. The Alpha Challenge 2023 Organising Committee reserves the right to shorten or alter the published route at any time. Participants do not have the right to claim a refund if the route is shortened.

  12. Each participant will be fully responsible for any fees or costs incurred or arising from an accident either involving or caused by them. This includes, but is not exclusive to, fees from Police, Air Ambulance, Fire & Rescue, and the Ambulance service in and outside Brunei Darussalam. If the situation arises that participants are not capable of making the decision to call the emergency services, the participant agrees that a member of The Alpha Challenge 2023 or a member of the public may call for them. In this situation, the rider still accepts the costs and consequences of such actions

  13. Each participant agrees to assign and grant the right and permission for The Alpha Challenge 2023 to use and publish any photographs/film/video/electronic representations and/or sound recordings of the participant on any The Alpha Challenge 2023 activity. The participant hereby releases The Alpha Challenge 2023 from any and all liability from such use and promotion. The participant hereby authorises the reproduction, sale, copyright, exhibit, broadcast, electronic storage and/or distribution of said photographs/film/video tapes/electronic representations and/or sound recordings without limitation at the discretion of The Alpha Challenge 2023. The participant specifically waives any right to any compensation they may have for appearing in any of the photographs/film/video/electronic representations and/or sound recordings of the participant at The Alpha Challenge 2023.
